"We came into Trujillo from our cruise ship and after visiting the fort and having a walk around the town, we need something cold and refreshing to drink. We walked along the road back to the ship that had many restaurants and bars, and selected Carivida Club Café as it is a bright and fresh looking place with an open deck area to the beach in back. We selected well, as the place was relaxed and the staff very welcoming and friendly. It is a clean and well cared for restaurant (and the washrooms are clean and modern).  We enjoyed some good and cold margaritas and local beers, along with some yummy nachos. Carivida Club Café is an excellent place to stop for a bite to eat in this historic port town!" - Diane Notes

"Great beach café/bar. If your cruise ship visits Trujillo it's a must. Good food and good selection of beers and cocktails. We had the fish and chips. Very clean toilets. Free sunbeds to customers. Friendly staff." - John Humph

"Dropped in on a Thursday night and was informed that it was "pizza and a movie night". the regular menu was available however i opted for the pizza.... and the movie. what a great experience. watching a movie, twenty feet or less from the ocean, slowly savoring a great pizza with my choice of toppings- amazing. service was top notch, food was better than I expected and the prices seemed fair. icing on the cake, after I was done my pizza they brought popcorn. yay! i love popcorn and a movie.I will be back." - Rocky R.

"This place is a must visit. Amazing food and great staff. I don't speak Spanish and everyone was very helpful. The bathrooms are clean and compared to the ones we have back home (in Canada). The whole fish is the best thing ever." - Denton Morrell
